1: Stamping steel cage. The stamping steel cage of Timken cylindrical roller bearing is made of low carbon steel, which has undergone a series of cutting, forming and piercing processes. This kind of cage has many plans and is suitable for the general use of cylindrical roller bearings. The S-type cage used for 5200 series cylindrical roller bearings is a special plan, which is mounted on and guided by the outer ring rib. The crossbeams of this cage are concave plans, which evenly isolate the tumblers and keep them on the outer ring. Stamping steel cages can be easily mass produced, and can be used in high temperature, not fully lubricated environment.
 
2: Machined cage. Machined cage is an option for small cylindrical bearings, usually brass. Machining cage planning of cylindrical roller bearings can provide more outstanding performance in severe applications. The cage should be one or two pieces. One piece design can be either finger cage or standard cage with fully polished pocket. One piece finger cage and two piece window cage are more common in standard cylindrical roller bearings. They are all roller guided planning. One piece pocket planning is a high quality cage for EMA series bearings. Different from the traditional cylindrical roller guide cage, it is a kind of outer ring guide cage, which can minimize the drag on the rolling body, then reduce the heat and extend the service life of the bearing. Compared with the two-piece plan, the one-piece cage can also improve the fluidity of lubricating oil and reduce heat and wear.
 
3: Pin type cage. The pin cage of cylindrical roller bearing consists of two metal rings and a group of pins passing through the center of the rolling body. This cage is used for large diameter cylindrical roller bearings where machined brass cages cannot be used. When this kind of planning is used, the number of cylindrical rollers can be increased, and then the bearing capacity can be improved.
