Which one of sliding friction and rolling friction will prolong the service life of the bearing?
We use at least 200 bearings every day in our lives. For precision bearings on high-speed railways, people can understand all the conditions of the bearings without overhauling them. Roller bearings are a kind of precision mechanical component that changes the sliding friction between the running shaft and the shaft seat into rolling friction, thereby reducing friction loss. According to the different friction properties of moving elements, bearings can be divided into two categories: roller bearings and roller bearings. Among roller bearings, deep groove ball bearings, cylindrical roller bearings and thrust ball bearings are common.
The function of the four parts of roller bearings
1. The inner ring is usually tightly fitted with the shaft and rotates together with the shaft.
2. The outer ring is usually matched with the housing hole of the bearing seat or the housing of the mechanical part to play a supporting role.
3. The rolling elements are evenly arranged between the inner and outer rings with the help of the cage. Its shape, size and quantity directly determine the bearing capacity of the bearing.
4. The cage separates the rolling elements evenly and guides the rolling elements to move on the correct track.

What are the advantages of roller bearings compared with sliding bearings?
1. Under general conditions, the efficiency of roller bearings is equivalent to that of hydrodynamic lubricated bearings, but higher than hybrid lubricated bearings.
2. Less lubricant consumption, easy to seal and easy to maintain.
3. For the shaft diameter of the same size, the width of the roller bearings are smaller than that of the sliding bearing, which can make the axial structure of the machine compact.
4. Most roller bearings can be subjected to radial and axial loads at the same time, so the bearing assembly structure is simple.
5. The radial clearance is relatively small, the radial angular contact bearing can be preloaded and the clearance can be eliminated by preloading, and the operation accuracy is high.
6. No need to use non-ferrous metals.
7. High degree of standardization, mass production, low cost.

How to install and disassemble roller bearings?
Do not directly hammer the end face and non-stressed surface of the bearing during installation. Press blocks, sleeves or other installation tools (tools) should be used to make the bearing evenly stressed. Do not install through the transmission force of the rolling elements. If the installation surface is coated with lubricating oil, the installation will be smoother. If the interference is large, the bearing should be installed in mineral oil and heated to 80~90℃ as soon as possible. The oil temperature should be strictly controlled not to exceed 100℃ to prevent the tempering effect from reducing the hardness and affecting the size recovery. When the disassembly is difficult, it is recommended that you use the disassembly tool to pull out and carefully pour hot oil on the inner ring. The heat will expand the inner ring of the bearing and make it easier to fall off.
